Swamp Coolers (Evaporative Coolers)

Repair, Maintenance & Installation That Beats the Heat

For a lot of homes in Fremont, Custer, and Pueblo Counties, nothing beats the fresh, low-cost cooling of a good swamp cooler—when it’s running right. Since 2016, CLR HVAC has been the local experts who keep thousands of evaporative coolers blowing cold, moist air all summer long, and we’re just as happy to help you upgrade out of one when you’re ready for refrigerated AC.

Repair

Not cooling? Barely blowing? Weird smell? We fix it fast: new pumps, bearings, belts, motors, spider bearings, float valves, or pads that turned to concrete. Most repairs are done the same day because our trucks are loaded for swamp-cooler season from May to September.

Maintenance

Our signature Annual Swamp Cooler Start-Up is the smartest call you’ll make all year. We drain and scrub the pan, replace pads, oil bearings, adjust belts and pulleys, clean the water distributor, set the float, and test the pump. Units we service start instantly, cool 20–25° below outside temp, and rarely break down mid-heatwave.

Installation & Replacement

Need a bigger unit for that new addition? Want a new quiet-energy model on the roof or a side-discharge that won’t rot your shingles? We sell and install units sized exactly for your house and elevation. Old unit hauled away free, new pads included, and we leave you with ice-cold air the same day.
